Correspondence

Get in touch.

Corrections from people who have worked on Cyprus mobile networks — at any operator, in any role, in any of the last three decades — are particularly welcome. The journal is intended as a living document and will be revised as fresh information arrives.

Letters answered on Thursday afternoons, after the Department's weekly filings are public.

A note

This is a one-person editorial project. There is no team, no office, no advertising department. Letters are read in the order they arrive. Substantive corrections (matters of fact, frequencies, dates, attributions, technical points) are read first; encouragement and disagreement are read at the weekend, with the early Saturday paper. There is no charge for any of this, and nothing is for sale.

What you can write about

  • Corrections to anything in the notes — frequencies, dates, attributions, references, technical specifications.
  • Reading suggestions — papers, filings, archives, technical reports I should know about.
  • Letters about your own work on Cyprus networks, if you have something to add.
  • Questions about a specific technical detail — I answer what I can within the limits of my own working knowledge.

What I cannot help with

  • Operator recommendations, tariff comparisons, or any commercial advice — those questions belong elsewhere.
  • Customer-service complaints — the operators have their own channels and the Department of Electronic Communications has its complaint procedure.
  • Press enquiries that ask for a verdict on an operator — the notes are the verdict.
